The Southern Star Group were recently privileged guests at the Anam Cara Donor Recognition Event.

Southern Star managers Paul Gray, Ken Best and Theresa Best, were taken on a tour of Anam Cara House Geelong, which included a visit to the Sheryl Gray dining room.

The dining room is named in memory of Paul Gray’s wife Sheryl, who lost her courageous battle with cancer in May 2019.

The new Anam Cara House Geelong is a world-class, 20-bed health facility that will provide person-centred, holistic and end-of-life care in the region.

Situated in a beautiful rural setting at Deakin University Waurn Ponds, the new facility is part of a broader transformation in care for people living with a life-limiting diagnosis spearheaded by a group of passionate Geelong community leaders.

By creating a home-like environment in this new facility, Anam Cara can provide those facing the end of life’s journey with the care, comfort, and dignity everyone should have access to, no matter their circumstances.

The Southern Star Group is proud to have supported the campaign to bring the new Anam Cara House Geelong to life and hope the residents and their families will find calm and comfort in the thoughtfully and carefully designed facility.
