Well, what an action-packed weekend we have had here at Southern Star Group, with not one sponsored event, but TWO!

We are so proud to have sponsored both The River’s Gift Construction Cup 2019 and The Barwon Health Foundations Moulin Rouge Gala Ball. Both events were a HUGE success as you can see from the below:

River’s Gift Construction Cup

 
The River’s Gift Construction Cup Golf day provides a great opportunity to be a part of an exciting day out with ideal exposure and networking opportunities within the building and construction industries. It's one of the leading charity golf days in the region, held at one of Australia's Top 100 golf courses,13th Beach Golf Links. We have sponsored this event for the past 3 years, and it’s always such a pleasure to be involved in an event that participants enjoy so much.

The day got off to a great start with breakfast rolls supplied by Geelong Homes as registration took place, and then the 100 golfers were off! A little drizzle didn’t put off the entrants or dampen the competitive spirit! After the round of golf was complete, everyone enjoyed lunch with Mick Malthouse as guest speaker.

A massive $31,000 was raised on the day.

River’s gift is a charitable organisation dedicated to providing world leading SIDS research with the ultimate goal of finding a cure and stamping out the heartbreaking condition.

We have been so proud to be part of River’s Gift Construction Cup once again for 2019.

Barwon Health Foundation Moulin Rouge Gala Ball

Southern Star Group were very excited to again be platinum naming rights event partner for the Barwon Health Foundations Gala Charity Ball held on Saturday 5th October.

This year’s event was held at the Palais Theatre and certainly lived up to last year’s buzz! With entertainment from the internationally recognised Spiegeltent performers 'Rouge' and Amanda Jane Coaching, and live music of The Baker Boys, all washed down with amazing food and drink, we are sure everyone went home smiling!

The Barwon Health Foundations Gala Charity Ball supports the current “top five” of Barwon Health. The top 5 encapsulate the services within Barwon Health and allow the community to support areas they have a passion for.
These are:

* Facilities and services at University Hospital (e.g. Cardiac, Intensive Care)
* Mental Health
* Care in the community – facilities and services for areas such as Rehabilitation, Renal Dialysis, Outpatients etc.
* Andrew Love Cancer Centre
* Women’s and Children’s Health

An amazing $212,000 was raised on the night, such a brilliant effort from the Barwon Health Foundation team and all that attended.
