Supporting The Novita Mighty River Run
The Southern Star Group is proudly supporting Charlie Siciliano from South Australian builder Constructwell with his fundraising for the Novita Mighty River Run.
What is Novita?
Novita is one of Australia’s largest and most respected community-based disability service organisation’s supporting kids, young people, and adults.
Specifically, Novita provides kids and young people in Adelaide and regional South Australia with:
- Early intervention
- Community inclusion
- Assistive technology
- Disability services
What is the Mighty River Run?
The Mighty River Run is an annual five-day cruise along the South Australian side of the Murray River to raise funds and awareness for people living with a disability.
Multiple teams take part in ‘crews’ on vessels at least 4 metres long, and capable of a minimum travel speed of 30kp/h in optimal conditions.
Unfortunately, organisers made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event, due to significant flooding in the Victorian and New South Wales inlets of the Murray River.
However, the event – as a means to raise much needed funding for children and young people living with a disability – was a huge success, nevertheless.
You can still donate to Charlies Crew for the Mighty River Run and help support Novita in the mission to help those living with a disability get supports and services in areas where they need them the most.
The Southern Star Group was proud to donate $1000 to Charlie and his team.
