The Southern Star Group supports Geelong Homes in undertaking a pledge to raise much-needed funds for River’s Gift, a Geelong-based Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) charity. Construction of a four-bedroom home in Ocean Grove is currently underway with the completed house to be auctioned off and all profits donated to River’s Gift, contributing to world-leading SIDS research.

River’s Gift works to raise a minimum of $250,000 per year to assist in the specialist training of a fellow in the field of SIDS research, based at Harvard University. The organisation hopes to also contribute to the establishment of an Australian-based SIDS research laboratory, helping to cement Australia’s role in the world of SIDS research and provide a local point of contact for expert knowledge and information.

The Southern Star Group is proud to have donated all windows and doors to this worthy cause, with the home featuring a generous master bedroom, open plan living, north facing alfresco area and fully landscaped gardens. 

The event will take place on Saturday 27th February 2016 with a range of activities for the whole family including special guests, free entertainment, and a sausage sizzle.  Activities begin from 9am with the auction set to start at 2pm at 1 Alcandre Street, Ocean Grove VIC 3220.
